Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 July 2026
APEX SPEED is built so that your data stays on your device.

What we collect

Nothing. APEX SPEED has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking SDKs. We do not collect, store or sell any personal data on our servers — we don't have any servers.

Location

Your location is used on your device to measure speed, distance, heading and to record your trip route. Trips are stored only on your device and can be deleted by you at any time. Location access is only active while you use the app.

To show the local speed limit and speed-camera warnings in Norway, the app requests map data for the area you are driving in from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration's open NVDB API. These requests contain map coordinates but no identity, and no account or identifier is attached to them. Road data is licensed under NLOD (© Statens vegvesen).

To show current weather, the app requests weather for your approximate location via Apple WeatherKit. See Apple's privacy policy for details on how Apple processes these requests.

Motion sensors

Lean angle and G-force are computed from the phone's motion sensors in real time and are not stored.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.

Your data, your control

Trips and custom designs live in the app's local storage. Deleting a trip in the app, or deleting the app, permanently removes them.
